Class 4: Applying the contents




In order to conclude with the unit, take a look at this quick review:

- Adjectives are the ones that help you to describe words.
-There are different either physical or psychological adjectives as well as for male and female.
- Present Continuous helps you to talk about things that are happening in the moment.

Now that you covered all the contents, I invite you to do the following activity so you can make sure that you learnt. HAVE FUN!




Class 3: Present Continuous + adjectives, how do they work together?

When describing people, apart from acquiring vocabulary we need to use accurate grammar in order to be understood. 

Have you ever heard about PRESENT CONTINUOUSLet's check some examples.

Try to say what are these people doing. Don't forget to add an adjective to your sentence.

Ex: Mr Green is reading an interesting newspaper.


Did you realize the importance of PRESENT CONTINUOUS? You were able to say what are these people DOING AT THE MOMENT. Take a look at the following formula:

Now that you know the P.C formula, the teacher will ask you to write more sentences related to the previous picture. Try to write as many as possible!
(Don't forget to write your sentences down so then you hand them in at the end of the class)

Class 2: Identifying Adjectives in a sentence


Now that you found all the adjectives in a wordsearch, the teacher will ask you to IDENTIFY them inside a sentence. In the following handout all the NOUNS are UNDERLINED (understanding that adjectives modify them) What you will be asked to do now, is to CIRCLE all the adjectives that modify nouns.

Class 1: What do we need in order to describe people?


First of all, try to answer the question. Did you get the answer? Well, what you need to describe people are ADJECTIVES (either physical or psychological). In this unit we are going to review them so you can apply later what you learnt.
